History

Captain Bruce began his offshore sailing adventures in 1988. He left southern California to sail to Mexico for a year, but that turned into 4 years. He spent the next decade sailing the Pacific coast of North and Central America, continuing through the Panama Canal. He returned the US and sailed the Great Lakes until 2005. It was that year that Bruce was awarded his US Coast Guard Master's Captain's License. He sailed Florida and the Bahamas until 2008 when he was hired to run a sailing charter vessel in the Florida Sea Base program. Captain Bruce continued as a hired captain until early 2011 when he purchased BAREFOOT and ran her for Florida Sea Base. Private charters are available from November through April - Bruce will continue to run Sea Base charters during the summers.

Sail Barefoot specialized in Sun, Fun, and FIne Food. Our gourmet inspired menu is built around local seafoods combined with international touches to make your trip a unique dining experience. We offer private charters only - you and your group are the only passengers. I can set an exciting itinerary, or you can select the stops you would like to make. And we can modify the itinerary along the way. Our destinations can include anything from Key Largo to Key West.
