Roohi K. Saini, D.O., is a family medicine physician at Baptist Health Primary Care. She provides comprehensive healthcare to patients, serving as the primary point of contact for their healthcare needs. In addition to treating acute illnesses, her clinical interests include preventive medicine, behavioral health and cancer prevention. After earning a master’s degree in biological and physical sciences, Dr. Saini earned her medical degree at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, in New York City. She completed a family medicine residency at Inspira Health Vineland in Vineland, N.J., where she gained experience in acute and chronic diseases, addiction medicine, behavioral health, dermatology, women’s health, pediatrics, joint injections and hospice care. To help her patients achieve their personal health goals, Dr. Saini provides them with optimal, individualized care utilizing shared decision-making. This collaborative environment helps patients feel comfortable and empowers them to be actively involved in their healthcare choices. Dr. Saini is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi. Derek Papp, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic sports medicine physician and orthopedic surgeon with Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. Dr. Papp has also served as a team physician for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Florida Panthers, Florida International University athletics and Miami-Dade County Public Schools athletics. On a fun note, Dr. Papp served as Major League Baseball’s venue physician in Miami and Taichung, Taiwan during the 2023 World Baseball Classic (WBC) as well as in Seoul, Korea and Mexicali, Mexico during the 2017 WBC tournament and qualifier. Dr. Papp maintains his appointment as a part-time assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he provided clinical and surgical instruction to residents prior to joining Baptist Health. During his career, Dr. Papp has served as a course director at a multitude of international orthopedic educational conferences (including in Antarctica, scheduled to return in 2026), published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented many scientific papers at professional symposiums. He is an active member of several professional societies, including the Major League Baseball Team Physicians’ Association, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy Association of North America, where he serves on the Education Committee.
