Richard Kanoff, DO

Dr. Huszar specializes in care for hospitalized pediatric neurology patients in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Institute for Brain Protection Sciences in St. Petersburg, Florida. He rejoined the medical staff in 2023 after a previous stint from 2014-19.Dr. Huszar’s clinical and research interests include neonatal and childhood cerebrovascular disorders and childhood primary headaches. Dr. Huszar received his medical degree from Albert Szent-Gyorgyi Medical University (SZOTE) in Szeged, Hungary. Dr. Huszar trained in pediatrics at Erzsebet Hospital in Hodmezovasarhely, Hungary and SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He then completed a pediatric neurology residency/fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

Dr. Tang-Wai is a pediatric neurologist and chief of epilepsy at Johns Hopkins All Children’s. He sees patients on the hospital’s St. Petersburg, Florida, campus. He joined the hospital staff in 2025. He was previously co-director of pediatric epilepsy/neurophysiology and associate professor at Loma Linda University in California. Dr. Tang-Wai has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and given many talks nationally and internationally. Dr. Tang-Wai earned his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal. He completed a pediatric neurology residency at Montreal Neurological Institute/Montreal Children’s Hospital and McGill University. He then completed a clinical neurophysiology and pediatric epilepsy fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.

Dr. Snyder is a pediatric surgeon at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He is the director of the pediatric surgery research program and the medical director of the pediatric trauma program at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He joined the medical staff in 2018.After earning his medical degree from the University of Florida, Dr. Snyder completed a research fellowship, Master of Science in Public Health degree, and residency in general surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed his clinical fellowship in pediatric surgery at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.Dr. Snyder previously served as a staff surgeon in the U.S. Air Force, performing general, trauma and acute care surgery for adults and children. His military service included assignments to Anchorage, Alaska, and Tampa, Florida, as well as overseas deployments. In conjunction with his military service, he has held adjunct clinical faculty positions with the University of Washington, Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, and the University of South Florida. He received an honorable discharge in 2016.Dr. Snyder’s clinical and research interests include neonatal thoracic and gastrointestinal surgery, comparative outcomes research, pediatric trauma systems, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
