Dr. Andrew Lozen is a neurosurgeon specializing in the treatment of brain and spine conditions. After college he began his medical studies at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, a Level One Trauma Center, where he benefitted from comprehensive surgical experience, and developed expertise in complex orthopedic trauma procedures. As chief resident, Dr. Schiffman took a keen interest in joint reconstruction and pursued this subspecialty in an Adult Joint Reconstruction Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard University. It was there that Dr. Schiffman had the opportunity to work side by side with many world-renowned surgical specialists in the areas of hip and knee replacements. He was also a faculty member of the Harvard Medical School where Dr. Schiffman helped educate medical students in joint reconstruction, and took Level One orthopedic trauma calls. Following his Massachusetts General and Harvard experience, Dr. Schiffman was appointed head of the joint reconstruction program at Adena Regional Medical Center outside of Columbus, Ohio. While at Adena, he performed hundreds of surgeries and received the hospital's highest scores for patient satisfaction among all practicing surgeons. In July 2014 Dr. Schiffman moved back to South Florida with his wife and two young children. In his free time Dr. Schiffman enjoys running, golf and fitness.
