Breast Cancer Update, founded in 1988, is one of the sources of continuing medical education available to medical oncologists, hematologists, surgical oncologists, breast surgeons, and oncology nurses. It features one-on-one interviews conducted by medical oncologist Dr Neil Love, and bridges the gap between research and patient care by providing ongoing access to the perspectives and opinions of national and international breast cancer research leaders. It includes live meetings, conference partnerships, patterns-of-care studies, patient projects and other related continuing medical education activities. Breast Cancer Update team has launched the CME periodical, Patterns of Care, where more than 200 randomly selected medical oncologists are periodically queried in groupings of 50. It has academic partnerships with Northwestern University s Lynn Sage and San Antonio breast cancer symposiums. BCU is headquartered in Miami.
