The founder of Coral Gables, George Merrick opened this park in 1924 named for famed Spanish explorer and Fountain of Youth seeker, Juan Ponce de Leon. He placed it in the Crafts Section of town....

While this isn't a large green it's still a park in Coral Gables which I am very thankful to have. Its large enough for a good game of ultimate frisbee, and I have seen plenty of dog walkers...
