Headquartered in Fernley, Nev., Polyglass USA has a manufacturing facility in Hazleton, Pa. A subsidiary of a European company, Polyglass was introduced to the United States market in 1991 when its Fernley office opened. The company produces bitumen-polymer membranes, thermal-acoustic insulating systems, refurbishment systems for asbestos structures, products for building improvement and refurbishment and APP shingles. Located in Ponte di Piave, Italy, the parent company, Polyglass SPA, has subsidiary and associated companies in Germany, Great Britain, United States and Romania. Approximately 40 percent of the company s products are exported to roofers and retailers in Europe, the Middle East, Canada and the U.S.
