The Lake Placid Art League, founded in 1985 by Alma Heflin and her daughter Dale Saceman, is dedicated to the appreciation and education of the arts for adults in Lake Placid, Florida. Originally meeting at the Tomoka Heights community clubhouse, the league has since established a permanent home at The Snyder Center for the Arts, thanks in part to the support of local artists and benefactors.
Under the leadership of President Bob Jasper, the Art League continues to foster a creative community through various events and workshops, including an Open Studio for members. The organization honors the legacy of Bill and Marlene Snyder, whose contributions have been instrumental in promoting the arts in the area.
