He began carrying a few outboard motors, then stocked boats and branched into fishing and hunting equipment. Bill McDuffie dropped the tire side after a few years and moved into a larger building in downtown Lake City. His son, Bill, took over the business later. Dal and Lee joined their father in the family business. In 1990, The McDuffies moved the store and boat lot from downtown Lake City to a new building on seven acres along busy U.S. 90 just east of I-75 in order to meet our growing community's needs. Bill McDuffie has since retired, trusting in Dal and Lee to carry on the McDuffie Legacy.
