So many places in South Beach made us feel like we were simply fulfilling a need to eat. Not so at the Pelican! We were served by Santiago who was so personable and attentive to our every request....

This boutique hotel is in the heart of South Beach across from from the beach. Guests can schedule a massage, burn a few calories in the fitness center, or visit the on-site bar and restaurant. A flat-screen cable TV, antique furnishings, and coffee-making facilities are included in all guest rooms at Pelican Hotel. An iPod docking station and sea view are provided in select rooms. Don't bother with this restaurant. Half of the Marguerita's pizza dough was raw. The pelican salad had no dressing and therefore was flavorless. The pours were meager... there's way better places...

Poor, slow service. Mediocre food. Added a 20% tip, so nobody cares about doing a good job. I will not be back, and suggest you skip this place too.
