Dr. Aird received his medical degree from the University of the West Indies.He completed his post-graduate education in general surgery under the tutelage of LaSalle D. Leffall Jr., M.D., at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C.He received his micro surgery training at the Micro surgery Research Center at Easter Virginia Medical School and served Hand and Micro surgery Fellowships with Alfred B. Swanson, M.D., in Grand Rapids, Michigan and with Harold E. Kleinert, M.D., at the University of Louisville.He was also a Visiting Hand Fellow to Japan.
