Palm Beach County

Located in West Palm Beach, Fla., the Palm Beach County Attorney's Office was established under the Palm Beach County charter as an independent office that is responsible directly to the board of county commissioners. The county attorney and the assistant attorneys function as the general counsel to the board. It handles a range of legal matters on the behalf of the county. In addition to providing legal advice and counsel to the county commission and county staff, the county attorney s office functions as the legal advisor to certain constitutional officers, regulatory boards and the advisory boards of county government. The Palm Beach County Attorney's Office maintains an environmental control office that investigates environmental and health code violations referred by the county health unit.
