Bay Oaks evolved from the dream of seven professional women in 1947 to provide assisted retirement living in Miami in a gracious home rather than an institutional setting. The board raised funds to construct the home with its distinctive tropical style just a stroll from Biscayne Bay. Today each room is individually decorated with antiques and heritage linens, much like a fine bed and breakfast.
