The Old Tampa Free Public Library, also known as the Exceptional Children Education Center, is a historic building located in the Tampa Heights neighborhood of Tampa, Florida. Designed by architect Fred J. James and constructed from 1915 to 1917, it was one of 10 Florida Carnegie libraries funded by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie.
Once Tampa's main library until 1968, the building now houses the administrative staff of the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System and the Hillsborough Literacy Council. The library's rich history and architectural significance make it a notable landmark in the community.
