Nicholas Cortolillo, M.D., is a vascular surgeon with Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care. During his fellowship, he ranked top among his peers in excellence and vascular surgical skills.Dr. Cortolillo's research has been published in multiple medical journals, including Annals of Vascular Surgery, Journal of Robotic Surgery, Journal of Trauma Acute Care Surgery and Pediatric Surgery International. His research focuses on improving patients' experience and quality of life after surgery.Dr. Cortolillo belongs to American College of Surgeons, Society of Vascular Surgery and American Medical Association.Dr. Cortolillo's patient care philosophy began to develop at age 11 when his father received life-saving vascular surgery. He believes long-term relationships with his patients improve their quality of life. He is also passionate about using nonsurgical treatments tailored to each patient whenever possible.When he is not treating patients, Dr. Cortolillo enjoys hockey, soccer, boating, woodworking, antique refurbishing and maybe a game or two of poker.
