Redeemer Lutheran Church Redeemer Lutheran Church was organized in 1955. Today its 800+ members serve the Stuart community in a wide variety of ministries. The congregation joins with over 175 other Lutheran congregations as part of the Florida-Georgia District of Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The district offices are located in Orlando, Florida. Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, with international headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, is comprised of over 6000 congregations organized into 35 districts. The Synod supports two seminaries, ten colleges and universities, and a host of international ministries. Redeemer Lutheran School In the mid-60s, a kindergarten program was established under the direction of Mrs. Eddie Lee Smith. Since that time it has been an active part of life of the congregation and has played a special role in the development of early childhood education in the community. In 1978 the congregation established a Lutheran parochial school as an outreach to the community. In September 1979, Redeemer Lutheran School opened the doors of its new school building to children in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and grades 1-3. Grades 4-8 were added in subsequent years, and the first 8th grade class was graduated in 1983. In 2001, the two-year-old Class was added. Academics and Curriculum Redeemer Lutheran School offers a Christ-centered education with high expectations. In response to the perfect life of Jesus Christ, we strive to bring every child up to his or her potential.
