Naples Free-Net was a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer organization established in July 1995, providing free and low-cost Internet access, email services, web hosting, and educational resources to the local community for 28 years. It was one of the last remaining Free-Nets in the nation and played a significant role in connecting residents to the digital world during its early days.

However, as of June 30, 2023, Naples Free-Net has officially ceased operations following a decision made by its Board of Directors. The organization previously supported over 3,000 members and also provided computer and Internet services to the city of Naples, marking the end of an era in community Internet access.
