The Modernesian is a place to relax and unwind with kava after a long days or weeks work. A place to escape the fast pace world we live in and enjoy each others company on kava time. A place where all who drink kava around the kava bowl become family. Kava, a relaxing root beverage from the South Pacific, has made a name for itself in the western world for its natural stress and anxiety-reducing properties. Kava has a unique ability to relax the body and mind without impairing your conscience. This provides a great alternative social scene to one with alcohol. On the islands of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia, the kava circle is where villages have gathered for millennia to share drink, knowledge, wisdom, and culture. We grew up this way in Polynesia and look to continue this kava drinking ritual as our voyage takes us through a new world of Kava we call Modernesia. So hele mai & fai kava! (Come Over & Drink Kava)

Great kava bar. Good selection. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff. The fresh kava on Friday's is awesome.

The only place that drinks kava the correct way! I visit here at least once a week! Staff is very informative about their products and they do a great job every time I visit. MUST TRY!
