The Mickee Faust Club is an arts activist community theater located in Tallahassee, Florida, dedicated to serving the unique voices of marginalized groups, including individuals with disabilities, LGBTQ seniors, and those facing economic challenges. Founded by Terry Galloway, a deaf lesbian performance artist, the club fosters creativity through workshops and performances that encourage both novices and professionals to collaborate on original cabaret, theater, and multimedia projects.
Despite recent challenges, including tornado damage to their clubhouse, the Mickee Faust Club continues to bring lowbrow queer and political humor to various locations throughout the Capital city. The organization embodies the Ethic of Accommodation, allowing overlooked communities to develop their artistic expressions and promote their alternative creative voices on local, regional, national, and international stages.
