Miami Shores Police Department, a part of Miami Shores Village, is a community oriented police agency. Located in Miami Shores, Fla., the department's purpose is prevention of crime, protection of life and property, preservation of peace, order and safety, enforcement of all laws and ordinance and safeguarding the nation s constitution to all people within the Village with respect, fairness and compassion. Its programs include The Neighborhood Contact Officer Program (NCOP) that identifies quality of life issues and problem-solving abilities, Safe and Slow program to ensure safety from speeding motorists, Crime Watch and Mobile Patrol. The administrative division of Miami Shores Police Department consists of Investigation Section, Professional Standard Unit and Records and Service Section.
