About Cary B. Chapman, MDCary B. Chapman, MD, is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon who holds a subspecialty certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and is fellowship trained in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and maintains an active membership in the American Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Society. Dr. Chapman specializes in minimally invasive surgical treatments for sports injuries of the foot and ankle, arthritic conditions, bunion and flatfoot deformities and total ankle replacements. Dr. Chapman's approach to patient care is to treat each patient as an individual while developing a treatment plan. He takes into consideration the importance of factors such as lifestyle, occupation and expectations and whenever possible, utilizes nonoperative treatment options before recommending surgical intervention. Dr. Chapman's extensive experience includes over 15 years of private and academic practice in New York City as well as previously serving as the Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery at the University of Miami. While on faculty at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital, he was the first surgeon in New York State to successfully perform a custom total ankle replacement using innovative 3D printing technology. As he returns to South Florida, Dr Chapman brings his passion about training the next generation of orthopedic surgeons and will move on to his new role as Co-Director of the Baptist Health Miami Ankle Foot International Alliance Fellowship. After earning his undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, he went on to finish his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York City. He completed his Orthopedic residency at the New York-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City and his Foot & Ankle Fellowship with Roger Mann, MD, in Oakland, California. Dr. Chapman is published in many orthopedic journals and presented his clinical work at regional and national orthopedic meetings. He has lectured on many orthopedic topics at Continuing Medical Education (CME) conferences as well. Some of Dr Chapman's other accolades include being the recipient of the Castle Connolly New York Metro Area's Top Doctor Award and the New York Super Doctors Award 7 years in a row.

Jose Mena, M.D., is a board-certified physiatrist at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. Dr. Mena specializes in diagnosing and treating spine and back injuries, diseases and disorders. Dr. Mena’s research has been published in peer-reviewed publications, including PM&R, the American Journal of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and he has presented at numerous professional events and meetings. He is a question senior editor for the ABPM&R board and an ABPM&R oral board examiner. Dr. Mena also serves as an editor for the ABA pain medicine boards and is part of the ABA Pain Medicine Examination Committee. As an instructor for the International Pain and Spine Intervention Society (IPSIS, formerly SIS), he is dedicated to teaching safe and effective diagnostic and therapeutic interventional spine procedures to his peers. IPSIS instructors are among the most carefully selected faculty in interventional spine medicine.
