Because my wife and I experienced the exact same thing. We were married for 7 years; we had a year-old twin boys, and we argued all the time. There was no passion and no intimacy, and we no longer understood each other. We went to the best therapists in Miami. We both clearly stated at the beginning of our session, that we did not want to get divorced. We wanted a solution! We rehashed all our problems, told all our stories, explained our childhoods and left in no better shape than when we started. At the end of one session, our therapist advised us to get a divorce.
