For over 20 years MetroMed of Miami and Dr. Oscar L. Hernandez's team of physicians and nurse practitioners have served children, families and adults from all walks of life with compassionate and state of the art medical care. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and having passed the certifying examination of the American Board of Bariatric Medicine, Dr. Hernandez is focused on integrated care, healthful living and weight management programs. Dr. Hernandez is on the teaching staff of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami and the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. MetroMed's new office now spans 4000 square feet and houses diagnostic services including X-ray, ultrasound and allergy testing and treatment as well as an in-house pharmacy. Dr. Hernandez is on the staff at West Kendall Baptist Hospital and admits patients from the office that need hospitalization.
