The Indian River State College (IRSC) Performing and Visual Arts Department is dedicated to providing quality arts education and a wide range of performance opportunities for students pursuing their passions. Their facilities include the McAlpin Fine Arts Center, a state-of-the-art theatre, the intimate Wynne Black Box Theatre, and specialized dance and art studios.

IRSC also offers more than 90 scholarships for both majors and non-majors in the performing and visual arts, along with 25 partial housing scholarships for students at the River Hammock dormitory.
