In addition to many years devoted to the litigation of civil matters, he has served as a workers' compensation judge, taught trial practice at the FSU College of Law, and written numerous articles and books on the law. He has been a frequent lecturer on legal matters. Steve has long history as a leader in the legal community, serving as an officer of local bar associations and as an elected representative to the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar. As the Executive Director of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, he served as the organization's spokesperson and chief lobbyist.
