History

About Us The roots of this business started in 1977 in Rochester, Michigan with an amazing woman named Maggie. When Maggie moved to Florida in 1990 she reopened her business in Rio. She then purchased Jensen Book Exchange, which consisted of 23,000 books at the time, and merged the two businesses together! This store now boasts over 200,000 books and is going strong just like Maggie! Maggie is a remarkable woman. At 84 years old, she plays billiards on the local leagues three nights a week, she plays lead saxophone in two local bands, and is an avid sewer and quilter while still finding time to work in the store two days a week! The store is now owned by her youngest daughter, Sally, who has every intention of running this book/ antique store just like her mother has for all these years! We are a mom & pop kind of business who still serves free coffee and cookies to our customers!

Specialties
