Loxahatchee River District

The Sewer System division, governed by the Loxahatchee River District in Florida, has been working for the elimination of septic tanks for more than 30 years. It serves over 60,000 homes and provides sewer installation programs. The Sewer System division installs gravity and low-pressure sewers. The Loxahatchee River District designs wastewater solutions and undertakes river research programs. Its wastewater system includes more than 250 miles of gravity sewer lines, over 400 low-pressure pumping units and nearly 190 pumping stations. The district s network carries wastewater from homes and businesses to regional treatment plant. Founded in 1971, the Loxahatchee River District offers a wastewater recycling program for residential communities, golf courses, public parks and recreational facilities.
