Established in 1938, the Orlando Housing Authority (OHA) is an independent public corporation funded primarily by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Governed by a seven-member board of commissioners appointed by the mayor of the city of Orlando, OHA operates with the goal of providing affordable housing for low-income individuals, families, and the elderly in Orlando, Florida.

OHA offers rental housing units in both the public housing and private housing markets through Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV), Single Room Occupancy (SRO), and public housing. Committed to social and economic enrichment, OHA provides residents with programs and opportunities, including the Move to Work (MTW) initiative, to ensure equal access for persons with disabilities to its forms, notices, resources, and services.
