Lester's Diner has been a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., institution for as long as most residents can remember. Since 1968, it has been the county's quintessential diner, serving iconic American food in a casual setting close enough to Port Everglades and the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport to keep its tables and long counter filled with a steady stream of tourists as well as regulars. Lester s offers something on its menu for nearly everyone. In addition to the traditional diner items, Lester s features pastries, the Lesterberger and a number of Greek specialties. The restaurant also serves breakfast items at any time of the day.

The food is always good. Unfortunately the desserts always disappoint. Ive tried most of the cakes and key lime pie. They all taste and look old. Not fresh or enticing at all.
