Lauren S Freedman, CRNA

Dr. Huszar specializes in care for hospitalized pediatric neurology patients in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Institute for Brain Protection Sciences in St. Petersburg, Florida. He rejoined the medical staff in 2023 after a previous stint from 2014-19.Dr. Huszar’s clinical and research interests include neonatal and childhood cerebrovascular disorders and childhood primary headaches. Dr. Huszar received his medical degree from Albert Szent-Gyorgyi Medical University (SZOTE) in Szeged, Hungary. Dr. Huszar trained in pediatrics at Erzsebet Hospital in Hodmezovasarhely, Hungary and SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He then completed a pediatric neurology residency/fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

Kristen Thompson, CRNA, APRN, is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the hospital staff in 2025. She was previously a CRNA at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa. Kristen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwest Florida State College, and Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from Raleigh School of Nurse Anesthesia.
