The Solid Waste Management Division provides a range of garbage collection services and manages the county landfill and central transfer stations. It offers curbside recycling services to more than 60,000 households in the unincorporated area through collection contracts with several solid waste hauling companies. In addition, the division offers a variety of recycling programs for small businesses in Seminole County, Fla. The Solid Waste Management Division is located in Longwood, Fla., and is a part of the Seminole County s environmental services department that provides a range of services, such as cleaning, wastewater collection and treatment, recycling, irrigation supply, and trash collection and disposal.
