The Building Division is a part of the Hernando County Development Department located in Brooksville, Fla. It focuses on the implementation of building codes and county regulations. The division issues building permits for construction projects in Hernando County, Fla. It also conducts inspections for building, mechanical, plumbing and electrical work at various stages of construction. In addition, the division issues and maintains contractor licenses and processes the review of residential and commercial applications.
