Key West Transportation Department

The Key West Department of Transportation is responsible for providing public transportation and fleet services, as well as municipal parking lot operations. The department provides planning and design, materials design and testing, contract administration and cost accounting services. It also offers management of the state motor pool that includes highway, bridge and rest area maintenance. The department is responsible for repair and maintenance of more than 300 city vehicles and equipment, including police, fire and transit buses. It is operated by the city of Key West, Fla., which also operates finance, fire, human resources, parks and recreation, parking enforcement, planning and public works departments.
