Key Biscayne Elementary School

Founded in 1952, Key Biscayne Community School is an educational institution that provides a variety of general academic programs to more than 1,000 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 8. It offers classes in math, science, social studies, physical and computer education. The school provides instructions in language arts, music, technology, reading and Spanish. Key Biscayne Community School maintains a staff of a social worker, therapist, counselor, psychologist and teachers. It conducts a community school program that offers adult education and fee-supported pre-kindergarten class. The school has a parent-teacher association, as well as operates a media center. Its special events include American Education Week and Miami Book Fair Week. The school is certified by the Department of education. It is a part of Dade County Public Schools and is located in Key Biscayne, Fla.
