Kathleen Middle School

Kathleen Elementary School is a coeducational institution that has an annual enrollment of more than 550 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. Its school advisory committee and parent-teacher association work together to foster close relationships between homes and the school and welcome parents to attend meetings and participate in various activities. Kathleen Elementary School organizes various cocurricular activities, such as math festivals, book fairs, Thanksgiving feasts, Santa s workshops, family dinner nights and parent-teacher conferences. The school is a part of Polk County Public Schools and is located in Lakeland, Fla. Established in 1950, Kathleen Elementary School has a staff of over 55 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes reading and spelling coaches and Title I trainers.

Churchwell Elementary provides academic programs and extracurricular activities to more than 700 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers academic programs in various subjects, such as physical education, English, language arts, math, social studies and science. It has a media center that provides curriculum-related materials and a variety of free reading options to students. Churchwell Elementary additionally offers various classes in spelling, writing, reading and word formation. The school has a parent-teacher association that works to promote the welfare of children and youth at home, school and in the community. Churchwell Elementary is governed by Polk County Public Schools.
