Jane Dilys Skelton, MD

Alka Sawhney, M.D., is a board-certified medical oncologist at the Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. She speaks fluent English and Hindi. Dr. Sawhney earned her medical degree at Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi, India and then completed an OB/GYN residency at Safdarjang Hospital India. She then completed a residency in internal medicine, followed by a fellowship in hematology-oncology at University of Illinois in Chicago. As a Lynn Cancer Institute medical oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Sawhney diagnoses and treats patients with a wide range of cancers including leukemia, lymphoma and noncancerous blood disorders. While a cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, Dr. Sawhney is committed to providing expert care while helping patients maintain the best quality of life during and after treatment. Dr. Sawhney believes a team approach is vital to providing effective cancer treatment. Each care team member plays a vital role in ensuring their patients feel like they are surrounded by an extended family. When she is not caring for patients, she likes to cook, practice yoga and go for long walks with her dog.

Warren Brenner, M.D., is a board-certified medial oncologist and hematologist at the Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. He specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancer and multiple myeloma. Prior to joining Lynn Cancer Institute in 2006, Dr. Brenner completed his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. During his internal medicine residency at St. Mary’s Health Center, he served as chief resident in internal medicine. An active researcher, Dr. Brenner has served as a principal investigator for numerous clinical trials. He has published work in journals such as Bone Marrow Transplant, Colorectal Cancer: Index & Reviews, and American Journal of Cancer Case Reports. He is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and International Myeloma Foundation. Dr. Brenner’s approach to patient care is to provide patients with the most up-to-date information and treatment in the field of oncology. He focuses on each individual’s needs for the best possible result. When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Brenner enjoys spending time with family, traveling and golfing.

Samuel A. Kareff, M.D., MPH, is a medical oncologist and hematologist at the Eugene M. and Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. He is certified in internal medicine and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Kareff specializes in the care of thoracic and gastrointestinal malignancies. His professional and clinical interests include early detection of cancers, identification of novel biomarkers, clinical research from early to late phase trials and global oncology approaches to maximize access and equity to treatments. Dr. Kareff serves as liaison to the Board of Directors of the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology and is a member of numerous professional organizations. Dr. Kareff earned a Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health dual degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed his chief residency in internal medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. and served as chief fellow during a hematology/medical oncology fellowship at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Kareff has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented scientific papers at professional symposiums. When it comes to patient care, Dr. Kareff focuses on the whole patient, not simply the disease. While treatment goals and side effects are often the focus in the examination room, he strives to include a patient's caregivers and other loved ones in the cancer care journey. Patients can communicate with Dr. Kareff in English, Spanish and Portuguese. During his free time, he enjoys running, traveling with his family, and watching foreign and independent films.
