Katherine Sams, PA, is a Physician Assistant at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. She joined the hospital staff in 2025. Katherine earned a bachelor degree in Health Science from the University of Florida in 2015. She completed her Master of Medical Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2018.

Dr. Bains is a pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He joined the medical staff in 2024. He earned his medical degree from Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in Miami. He completed an internship in medicine and surgery at Orange Park Medical Center in Jacksonville, followed by a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he served as a chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Boston Children’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pediatric cardiovascular anesthesiology at Texas Children’s Hospital, serving as chief fellow in both Boston and Houston.

Dr. Schallert specializes in pediatric radiology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the medical staff in 2022 and sees patients on our main campus in St. Petersburg, Florida.Dr. Schallert?earned her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. She completed an internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. She then completed a residency in diagnostic radiology from the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, followed by a pediatric radiology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.Dr. Schallert is conversational in Spanish.
