So, after assessing the requirements for the "perfect yacht tender, " Christof designed the bauer 10. In 1988, the bauer 8 was introduced and the newest addition, the bauer 12 daysailer, made its premiere in late 1996. All bauer boats are constructed of hand laid and chopped fiberglass, have an interior liner, displacement hull design, high freeboard, wide beam, full length skeg and keel, high loading capacity and exceptional stability. Retractable centerboards and kick-up beaching rudders are standard features on all sailing models.
