Michael Swartzon, M.D., is a sports medicine physician with a dual board certification in family and sports medicine. He cares for active people, athletes and individuals with musculoskeletal conditions. He is an important player on your health team with significant specialized training in treatment and prevention of illness and injury to help you lead a healthier lifestyle. Dr. Swartzon cares for youth athletes, weekend warriors, active individuals, elite athletes and nonathletes alike. Maria Kyriacou, M.D., is a primary care sports medicine physician at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. Dr. Kyriacou specializes in non-surgical treatments for acute, overuse and chronic orthopedic problems. She has a special interest in sports-related injuries, joint arthritis, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided procedures. During her fellowship training, Dr. Kyriacou was involved in stem cell, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and amniotic regenerative orthobiologic therapy. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Greek. During her fellowship, Dr. Kyriacou was part of the medical team for the Miami Dolphins, Florida International University, St. Thomas University and Barry University. She currently serves as a team physician for Florida International University. In 2019, Dr. Kyriacou was named Resident Teacher of the Year at Phoebe Health.
