Howard Drive Elementary School

Established in 1961, Howard Drive Elementary School is a part of Miami-Dade County Public Schools. It offers education to students from prekindergarten through grade five and has an enrollment of more than 550 students. Its amenities include a cafeteria, library media center, playground, computer lab, over 30 classrooms, and art and music rooms. It has a staff of certified teachers that provides academic classes in computer technology, language arts, special education, foreign language, English, math, science and social studies. The school organizes various special programs, including cosmos center, young friends of the everglades, lunch bunch, birthday book club, reading rainbow and math superstars. Howard Drive Elementary School is located in Miami and maintains a parent-teacher association that conducts periodic meetings and organizes various events and activities for the overall development of the school.
