History
Opened in 1959 as Don's Barbershop in Oneco, Florida, His Place Barber & Grooming Shop served the hair care needs of gentlemen in two locations in Oneco. In 2002, the original owner sold the shop to the current owner, and, in 2011, moved the shop to its current location, 3711 U.S. 301 in Ellenton, Florida, directly across from the historic Gamble Plantation. Situated in a 100-year-old two-story structure that began its life as the Ellenton State Bank, His Place has found the ideal home for its old-fashioned business.

Great spot. Inexpensive, good quality cuts. People that work there are kind and hard working. Definitely a bit on the basic side -- No frills or amenities that you may get in other barber shops....

Don't go here. Guy spent 45 minutes lecturing me about bs while barely cutting my hair and started taking my robe off without even touching the top of my hair which I told him to cut... this guy...
