Hillsborough County Fleet Management

The Hillsborough County Department of Fleet Management is an internal department that provides vehicle and equipment-related services to a number of Hillsborough County, Fla., departments. These services include fleet acquisition and disposal, preventative maintenance, repairs, wrecker service, motor pool and fuel sales. Fleet management has nearly 70 employees with five garages spread throughout the county to best serve its customers. The county's fleet consists of approximately 5,330 pieces, ranging from small equipment, such as mowers, to heavy construction equipment, such as excavators. The fleet is worth approximately $90 million. The Hillsborough County Department of Fleet Management is located in Tampa, Fla.
