The Hillsboro Lighthouse Preservation Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the historic Hillsboro Light Station in its original form for the safety, enjoyment, and education of the public.

Working closely with the U.S. Coast Guard and the Coast Guard Auxiliary, the society successfully restored and repaired the lighthouse's original Fresnel lens and reactivated its beacon, while also opening the lighthouse and its grounds for public access tours and educational purposes.

Live close by, so visit this gem often. A nice small park to visit across from the light house; came during sunset and it was awesome watching the sun go down. A must for kids and adults alike.
