High Springs Community School has been operational for more than 30 years ago and serves over 1,000 children in prekindergarten through grade eight. It offers after-school, accelerated reader and character education programs. The school s accelerated reader program is a computer-based application that enhances literacy skills of students. Its character education program imparts values of respect, responsibility, citizenship, courtesy, cooperation and honesty to students. The school involves students in the Future Farmers of America, which develops their potential for leadership, personal growth and career success through agriculture education.
