Oluwaseun O. Akinduro, M.D., is a fellowship trained Neurosurgeon specializing in Complex Spine and Spinal Oncology. He serves as the Director of Spinal Oncology at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Akinduro completed medical school at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia and then completed his neurosurgical training at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He then completed a Complex Spine and Spinal Oncology fellowship at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Akinduro runs a basic science laboratory focused on finding targeted therapies for patients with spinal cancers. His clinical and research interests are: drug delivery techniques for spine tumors, chordoma treatment, minimally invasive techniques for treatment of degenerative spinal conditions as well as spinal tumors, robotic spine surgery, awake spine surgery, endoscopic spine surgery, lateral approaches to the spine, and stabilization techniques for craniocervical junction disease.

Vivek Roy, M.D., is a hematologist and oncologist at Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Roy treats cancers and conditions including multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, dysproteinemia and other blood disorders. He is an expert in bone marrow transplantation. Dr. Roy has a special interest in developing novel approaches to advance stem cell transplantation and new treatment options for people with multiple myeloma and cancers of the blood. Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center is a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center.
