Hammerhead Aquatics
Hammerhead Aquatics, established in 2004, is a renowned swimming program in Fort Lauderdale and Wilton Manors, Florida. Led by Coach John Grzeszczak, who has over 45 years of teaching experience, the program offers swimming lessons for all ages and abilities, including infants, young children, special needs individuals, and adults. With a hand-picked staff trained in the Hammerhead way, the program focuses on setting small goals for each level in a positive and nurturing environment, helping swimmers reach their full potential. Additionally, Hammerhead Aquatics offers competitive swimming through USA Swimming and United States Masters Swimming, as well as lifeguard training and CPR courses.
Hammerhead Aquatics is currently undertaking the creation of the June Krauser Aquatic Center, an indoor 50-meter swimming pool and therapy pool, to meet the needs of the South Florida swimming community. The envisioned center will feature an indoor training area, lockers, a small café, food prep and kitchen facilities, event space, and an outdoor patio. With year-round classes and instruction, Hammerhead Aquatics aims to provide a water-safe environment and start swimmers on a lifelong journey in the world of swimming, while emphasizing that no program can guarantee drown-proofing. Donations and sponsorships are welcomed to support the construction of the June Krauser Aquatic Center.
