History

Captain Tom Hylton started the Gypsy's earliest fishing adventures and he piloted her for over 30 years making the charter boat Gypsy a successful fishing boat with thousands of pounds of fish being hauled in over her lifetime. Captain Tom retired and sold the boat and business and today Captain David Pollitt continues the fishing tradition. The Gypsy has been refurbished and updated with only the best fish-finding and catching equipment and luxuries including a new bathroom. Captain David brings a lifetime of fishing and piloting experience that he has acquired while being in and around the trade here in the Clearwater, Florida area. This boat and this man were born for fishing! Come see them both in action and get your share of fish while enjoying a day at sea!

Specialties

You Catch Fish! - offshore (aka deep sea fishing) or inshore fishing trips catching Grouper, Red Grouper, Sea Bass, Red Snapper, Amberjack, Shark or other big game fish. We also charter our boat for non-fishing expeditions such as burials at sea and dolphin or sight-seeing excursions. Each of the daily fishing expeditions include fishing rods, bait and tackle, all licenses, and we even clean your catch for you! Make sure to bring your favorite food and drinks for you and your friends to enjoy while you fish. And bring your sunglasses and sunscreen! We also help to arrange split trips with other people - great for couples or singles. Let us know you want to be partnered up with other sportsmen and we will try to find others to share the fun and split the cost of your trip. The Charter Boat Gypsy is a fast and comfortable 36-foot sport fisherman that can carry up to 6 passengers and offers several updated luxuries including a new bathroom.
