Once referred to as 'perhaps the most palatial home in all of Florida', the stunning Major Sherman Conant house is now a magnificent Bed & Breakfast. Circa 1884, this 3 story, 6400 sq foot, 8 bedroom, 6.5 bath home is an extraordinary example of Queen Anne architecture by famed New England architect Rufus Sargent. With twelve foot ceilings, a grand staircase and a sweeping veranda, guests luxuriate in rooms steeped in American history. One block to the St. Johns River, 30 minutes to St. Augustine and 45 minutes to Gainesville. Rent one of our individual rooms on a nightly basis or rent the entire INN! Yes, that's right. On the nights that no other guests have reserved rooms, you may rent the entire INN. The INN sleeps 20 people. See our website for details.
