History

Grady's is named after its founder Grady Spears. Grady served in the Merchant Marines from 1941 to 1945. During this time he began working in the galley with fresh seafood and started his cooking career. In 1945, he left the Merchant Marines and ran a bread route until 1946 when he went to work for the Houston Hotel in Dothan, Alabama. In 1949, Davis Tindell asked Grady to come to Graceville, Florida, and run the Circle Grill. He and his wife, Ouida, purchased the business and officially became the owners and operators of the Circle Grill in 1951. In 1972, Grady sold the Circle Grill so that he and Ouida could retire. Grady and Ouida opened Grady's Seafood in 1977 and retired again in 1983 when their daughter and son-in-law, Janet and John Watson, took over the business. In 1991, Janet's son, Larry, and his wife, Sherri, returned to Graceville to help run the business. In 1996, Janet and John retired and their son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sherri Skipper, took over the business.

The food was awful. There was absolutely no seasoning. And there was no room. I ordered the hamburger steak and it came with no side. And there was no where to park
