History

Established Dec2013, Funkadelic Food hit the streets for the very first time. Excited is an understatement, everything we've worked so hard for finally came together as a whole, it's OPENING DAY!! Many learning curves still to this day, Food Trucking never has a dull moment. Originally based out of our hometown, Jacksonville, Funkadelic was among the first 20 original food trucks in the city (now over 200!) After almost 5 years of success, we decided it was time for us to move forward with our dreams of owning a cafe in the Caribbean.June2017 our move to future endeavors began. Living the dream in paradise, Mr. & Mrs. Funkadelic were overwhelmed with happiness along with disbelief that this was their new life. Fast forward to Sept2017-Hurricane Irma & Maria barreled over the Virgin Islands sparing little in their paths. Mr. & Mrs. Funkadelic battened down the hatches and braced for the wrath. Four months later, our return stateside brought us to reopen Funkadelic in St.Aug, FL!

We are a gourmet food truck, serving the funkiest, freshest cuisine in beautiful St. Augustine, Jacksonville, and surrounding areas! Locally sourced product - Offering a wide variety of dishes ranging from our gourmet Brisket/short rib/chuck blend Burger to our Sushi-grade Yellowfin Tuna Poke' dish, let's not forget the ever so popular Gourmet Grilled Cheese. Our Funk Mobile definitely stands out by itself - Hand painted artwork AND everything we serve is *Truly* made from scratch, made*to*order! Doesn't get much better!
